Professional Year Program, known as PY, is a occupational training course proved by the Australian government, aiming to better prepare the Accounting/IT/Engineering graduates for their future employment in Australia. Upon completion, PY will help visa applicant to score extra 5 points towards the point-based test of General Skilled Migration.
The duration of the course is 44 weeks, it covers: understanding Australian work environment, enhancing English skills, professional skills training (such as MYOB), job search and interview skills and so on. In the last 12 weeks of the PY course, students will be arranged to take full-time internships at placement company, this bring the competitive advantages to students for their CV and ultimately potential skilled employment.
